Who we are

At Timetravel Ceylon, we believe that true wellbeing and happiness arise from three sacred relationships: with yourself, with others, and with the natural world. Modern life has fractured these bonds — leaving us hurried, disconnected, and unmoored. Our journeys are designed to help you restore them.

Through the wisdom of ancient Ceylon — its healers, monks, and visionaries — we rediscover how earlier civilisations sustained balance between the individual, community, and earth. Each curated experience becomes a quiet act of transformation: a chance to reconnect, to heal, to belong, to breathe.

Our philosophy of luxury travel is not about escape, but return — to authenticity, meaning, and grace.

Core values

Authenticity: Private access to historians, archaeologists, and master craftspeople who open doors to new dimensions.

Quiet Luxury: Thoughtfully restored colonial residences, discreet service, and sustainable travel that honours both place and people.

Intellectual & Inner Depth: Experiences shaped by research, reflection, and ritual — journeys that nourish both curiosity and calm.

Transformation & Wellbeing: Encounters that leave you renewed — not only with insight into Ceylon’s timeless culture, but with a sense of balance, grounding, and quiet inspiration.

Meet our storytellers

Kasun and Hasini worked together as researchers and collaborators for years before founding Timetravel Ceylon, where they now share their knowledge, gained through years of education, training, and on-the-ground work, with their community and those who visit Sri Lanka.

Hasini Apsara Haputhanthri
  • Curator of Experiences

Hasini is the storyteller — crafting journeys that weave together history, art, and imagination. Her training in Sociology, Asian Studies, Museum Anthropology and Oral History, brings intellectual depth and purpose to the experiences she curates: From heritage walks to literary trails, she shapes each experience as a narrative of connection across time and place.

Before founding Timetravel Ceylon, Hasini worked with communities rebuilding their lives after decades of conflict and managed a project for healing through arts and culture. Hasini is educated in Sri Lanka, India, Sweden and the USA.

Kasun Pathiraja

  • Curator of Journeys

Kasun brings those stories to life on the ground — coordinating every detail with precision and warmth. From partnerships with local communities to the minute details behind each itinerary, he ensures that every Timetravel moment unfolds seamlessly. Before joining Timetravel Ceylon, Kasun worked with a network of South and Southeast Asian communities for peacebuilding. Kasun is educated in Sri Lanka and Norway.
